Greenlight is delighted to once again welcome the local authors and contributors to Voices of Lefferts: The Flatbush-PLG Community Writing Journal into our Flatbush store for a celebratory evening. This latest issue is born of a liminal space, somewhere between life on hold during the pandemic and our emergence into a new reality. Essays include a paean to our very own Greenlight Bookstore, a walking history tour of the neighborhood conducted by a relative newcomer, a love song to trains, and several essays about real estate development and ever-changing local demographics. Editor and director Deborah Mutnick hosts a program of readings and discussion with neighborhood authors, in an evening celebrating the voices, lives, and stories of our neighborhood – we can’t wait to see you there.
